Saveetha School of Law (SSL), SIMATS, Chennai presents the First National Tamil Moot Court Competition, held as part of its National Law Fest from 15 to 17 September 2026. It is a national-level moot court competition conducted in Tamil, giving law students a platform to argue and advocate in their mother tongue.
The competition proceedings, memorials and oral rounds are conducted in Tamil. It is aimed at strengthening legal advocacy and access to justice in the Tamil language.
The competition is open to students pursuing a law degree. Each team consists of three members:
The registration fee is Rs 2,000 per team. Teams must register through the official Google Form and upload proof of payment, the completed registration form and a bonafide certificate from their institution.
Registered teams must submit the soft copy of their memorials by 30 July 2026 and the hard copy by 30 August 2026, as detailed in the official brochure.
Complete and submit the official Google Form before the last date of registration. Pay the registration fee to the account given in the brochure (Saveetha School of Law CME, Karur Vysya Bank) and upload the payment screenshot along with the required documents.
