National Law University, Jodhpur, through its Centre for Insolvency and Bankruptcy Studies (CIBS) and in collaboration with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI), is holding the Fourth NLUJ-IBBI Online Certificate Course on Insolvency and Bankruptcy Law from 8 to 13 October 2026.
This edition runs on the theme Beyond a Decade: The IBC in Transition, with the subtitle The 2026 Overhaul, Cross-Law Conflicts, and Careers in Modern Insolvency Practice. It looks at how the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code has evolved in its first ten years and at the legal, regulatory and commercial developments likely to shape its next phase. The previous three editions drew more than 1,300 participants.
CIBS was set up in August 2019 and also publishes Solventia, Journal of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Laws (ISSN 3139-6879, eISSN 3108-2548).
Speakers announced so far for this edition include Mr Rajeev Vidhani and Mr Ashwij Ramaiah (Khaitan & Co.), Mr Pranaya Goyal (Wadia Ghandy & Co.), Mr Gautam Chawla (Trilegal), Prof. Rebecca Parry (Nottingham Trent University), and Mr Soumitra Majumdar and Ms Shrijita Bhattacharya (JSA Advocates and Solicitors).
There are no restrictions on registration and anyone may register. The course is designed for law students, recent graduates, young professionals, academicians, researchers and practitioners with an interest in insolvency and bankruptcy law.
Both certificates are issued by NLU Jodhpur.
More than 15 internship opportunities will be offered to the top 15-20 participants, ranked on their combined MCQ and essay scores, with organisations including Khaitan & Co., Wadia Ghandy & Co., the Insolvency Law Academy and other law firms, think tanks and chambers. Terms are set by the host organisations and shared only with the selected participants. Ties are broken first on MCQ score, then on essay score. IBBI has no role in selecting or administering the internships.

The brochure and NLUJ's notice give 25 September 2026 as the last date for early-bird fees, while the dates table on the course webpage gives 28 September 2026. Standard fees apply after the early-bird period ends. Check with the organisers if you are relying on the discount.
Registration closes on 6 October 2026. You will receive a confirmation email once your payment and details are checked, which may come closer to the start of the course. If the form shows a 'Server Rejected' error when uploading the receipt, your Google Drive storage is probably full; register with a different email account.
