From Agreement to Adjudication: The Constitutional Jurisprudence of the Good Friday Agreement is a Statute Law Society event hosted by UCL Laws. It takes place on Thursday, 26 November 2026, from 18:00 to 19:15 (UK time) in the Moot Court at UCL Laws, Bentham House, London, and is also open to online participants.
The lecture is delivered by the Rt Hon Dame Siobhan Keegan, Lady Chief Justice of Northern Ireland. She became the first woman to hold the office on 2 September 2021. A graduate of Queen's University Belfast, she was called to the Bar in 1994 and took silk in 2006, practising in family and criminal law. In 2015 she was one of the first two women appointed to the High Court of Northern Ireland, later serving as Presiding Coroner (2017 to 2020), where she led the Ballymurphy Inquest, and as Senior Family Judge. She also chairs the Northern Ireland Judicial Appointments Commission.
The event is organised by the Statute Law Society, a charity that promotes knowledge and understanding of legislation and the legislative process, and hosted by the Faculty of Laws, University College London (UCL). It is also listed on the events calendar of the Society of Legal Scholars.
