GNLU Journal of Law, Development and Politics (GJLDP) [Vol 16]

The GNLU Journal of Law, Development and Politics (GJLDP) invites submissions for its Volume 16. GJLDP is a biannual, peer-reviewed journal published by Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), Gandhinagar, and carries the ISSN serial number 0975-0193. The journal explores the intersection of law with development and politics, and welcomes rigorous, interdisciplinary scholarship.

If you work at the meeting point of law, public policy, governance, and political and developmental questions, this is a strong forum to place your research. The submission window closes on 30 July 2026.

Gujarat National Law University is a National Law University established under the GNLU Act, 2003 and recognised by the Bar Council of India and the UGC. GJLDP is one of its peer-reviewed law journals, published by Eastern Book Company (EBC). Manuscripts are assessed through a blind review process, in which reviewers are not informed of the author's name, institution, or other personal details.

The journal's central theme is Law, Development and Politics, with particular interest in the interdisciplinary relationship between these three fields. Welcome research areas include, among others:

• Law and socio-legal studies
• Public policy and governance
• International relations
• Development studies and political analysis as they relate to law

Authors are asked to indicate the research area of their submission on the manuscript.

Submissions are welcome from a broad community, including:

• Academicians and professors of law and allied fields
• Advocates, judges, and bureaucrats
• Legal luminaries and newspaper columnists
• Law students and research scholars

The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

• Original articles
• Review articles
• Book reviews

Please prepare your manuscript in line with the journal's editorial policy:

• Submit online (soft copy), preferably in MS Word, as an email attachment to gjldp@gnlu.ac.in with the subject line "Submission".
• Formatting: Garamond, font size 12, line spacing 1.5, justified, with 1.5" left margin and 1.0" on all sides.
• Include an abstract of 200-250 words and up to 5 keywords.
• Citations follow the author-date (parenthetical) system per the Chicago Manual of Style, 17th Edition, with a consolidated alphabetical reference list at the end.
• The title page must carry the full title only. The manuscript itself must contain no identifying information about the author, as the journal uses a blind review procedure; identifying details are grounds for rejection.
• Submit a separate covering letter with all personal details (name, degrees, designation, institution, postal address, phone, email) and the signed Submission Application and Waiver Form (available on the journal's About page).

No publication or processing fee is stated by the journal for this call. Please confirm any charges with the Editorial Board before submitting.
