Hong Kong Arbitration Week (HKAW) 2026 is the 15th edition of the annual flagship event of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC). It brings together practitioners, users and stakeholders from around the world to discuss key developments and trends in international arbitration through a full week of conferences, workshops and social activities, held in Hong Kong from 19 to 23 October 2026.
HKIAC reports that the 2025 edition drew 1000+ registrations from 45 jurisdictions, with 40+ affiliated events and 160+ speakers. Earlier editions have been held every year since at least 2017.
The flagship ADR in Asia Conference takes place on Thursday, 22 October 2026, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, at the Grand Ballroom, Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, on the theme "Arbitration: Recalibrating for the future". The programme examines the quality of arbitral decision-making, ethical challenges, the future of legal practice in the age of AI, the international character of arbitration, and how far arbitration can recalibrate for the future, with practitioners, arbitrators, academics and in-house counsel from across jurisdictions.
HKIAC's event page lists 40+ affiliated events covering technology, digital assets and private capital, and jurisdictional issues in Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Southeast Asia and more. The full day-by-day calendar is in the official HKAW 2026 calendar PDF attached to this post (also downloadable from the HKAW calendar page); some sessions are marked TBC and some require registration approval.
HKIAC invites participants from across the globe. The official registration page asks each registrant to select a jurisdiction, and India is on that list. Attendance is in person in Hong Kong.
As stated in the official Registration FAQs:
Early bird rates were available until 31 August 2026, so standard rates now apply. A HKD 300 discount is applied automatically at checkout if you register for all the above sessions. India is on HKIAC's list of designated countries for the discounted ADR in Asia Conference rate. Some affiliated events (GAR Live Women in Arbitration in Asia, HK45 Cruise Afternoon and Pub Quiz, the Hong Kong Arbitration Charity Ball, the Opening Night After Party) need separate registration through their own links on the HKAW calendar page, and fees may apply.
Register online through the official HKAW registration form (linked below), selecting your jurisdiction; in-house counsel have a separate registration route on the HKAW registration page. HKIAC has not published a closing date for registration, so register before the week begins on 19 October 2026 (the first event, the HK45 Cruise, starts at 3:00 pm Hong Kong time, 12:30 pm IST).
