The Chancellery of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, in cooperation with the International Association of Constitutional Law (IACL-AIDC), invites submissions for an international roundtable on “Parliamentarism and Electoral Systems in the 21st Century”, to be held in Warsaw, Poland on 23–24 November 2026.
The roundtable brings together constitutional scholars from around the world to examine the contemporary challenges facing parliamentary democracy and electoral systems, and the evolving role of parliaments in the digital age.
Contributions are invited on the following indicative themes:
Both senior and junior scholars are welcome. Junior scholars — PhD candidates and early-career researchers within seven years of completing their doctorate — are particularly encouraged to propose work on the sub-theme “Parliament in the World of Artificial Intelligence”.
Submit an abstract of maximum 500 words, in English or French, by email to m.zubik@uw.edu.pl with “Parliamentarism and Electoral Systems” in the subject line. The submission deadline is 20 August 2026 (Warsaw time, GMT+2). Selected speakers must submit an extended abstract / draft paper of up to 2,000 words (including footnotes) by 1 November 2026.
There is no registration fee. The Chancellery of the Sejm covers two nights' accommodation for speakers, and provides refreshments and lunch during the event.
