About ILNU MUN Chapter VI

ILNU MUN Chapter VI is the sixth edition of the flagship Model United Nations conference of the Institute of Law, Nirma University (ILNU). The three-day conference runs from 30 October to 1 November 2026 under the theme "वयं भविष्यं रचयामः: We Create the Future", and offers delegates a platform for debate, diplomacy, negotiation and discussion of contemporary global issues.

The conference is run by the ILNU MUN Society, a collaborative effort of students and faculty. SCC Times is the Media Partner and Lawctopus the Outreach Partner for this edition.

About the Organiser

The Institute of Law, Nirma University was founded in 2007 under the aegis of Nirma University, Ahmedabad, and is accredited with an 'A+' grade by NAAC. The Institute describes its focus as academic rigour, interdisciplinary learning and a commitment to justice education.

Committees and Agendas

  • UNHRC: Political interference in humanitarian and disaster governance, with special reference to the Yemen crisis and resilience building in conflict-affected regions.
  • Bureaucratic Cell: Formulating a national refugee and asylum framework: administrative, enforcement and diplomatic responses to India's undocumented refugee population in the absence of domestic refugee law.
  • Lok Sabha: Comprehensive electoral reforms in India, with special emphasis on implementing One Nation, One Election and ensuring a robust federal architecture.
  • Indian Constituent Assembly (ICA): Determining the federal structure of the Indian Union and the official language of the State, and reconciling national unity with provincial and linguistic autonomy.
  • UNGA DISEC: The proliferation, regulation and accountability deficit of Private Military and Security Companies (PMSCs) in contemporary armed conflict, with special reference to Sub-Saharan Africa and post-Soviet conflict zones.
  • UNCSW: The weaponisation of conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV) by non-state armed groups, with emphasis on territorial subjugation and illicit resource extraction in active conflict zones.
  • BRICS: Deliberating the New Delhi Declaration 2026: advancing de-dollarisation, local-currency payment mechanisms and BRICS resilience against U.S. tariff coercion.

Who Can Participate

The organisers extend an open invitation to all students to take part as delegates in Chapter VI. Participation certificates will be awarded to all delegates.

Delegate Fee

Delegate fees are charged according to the phase in which you register (prices include GST):

  • Early Bird (21 to 30 September 2026): Rs 1,600 (closed)
  • Phase 1 (1 to 15 October 2026): Rs 1,800
  • Phase 2 (16 to 25 October 2026): Rs 2,200
  • Accommodation (optional): Rs 2,700 additional

Travel costs have to be covered by the delegates themselves.
