Overview

The Indraprastha Law Review (ILR) [ISSN: 2583-5653] is inviting submissions for its Summer 2026 edition, Volume VII, Issue I. ILR is an eco-friendly, multidisciplinary, faculty-run, double-blind peer-reviewed e-journal that publishes original work across all branches of law, along with sections on recent legislative, judicial and policy developments, case comments and book reviews.

The theme for this issue is International Law. There is no publication fee.

About the organiser

The journal is published by the University School of Law and Legal Studies (USLLS), a constituent of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Delhi. GGSIPU was the first university established by the Government of NCT of Delhi in 1998 and is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 12B of the UGC Act. USLLS works to advance institutional expertise in legal research and education and to further the quest for justice through scholarship and practice.

Theme and sub-themes

The theme for Volume VII is International Law. Potential sub-themes include:

  • International Trade Law
  • International Maritime Law
  • International Environmental Law
  • International Energy Law
  • International Humanitarian Law
  • International Criminal Law
  • Outer Space, among others

Who can submit

Contributions are welcome from academicians, practitioners and law students. Co-authorship of one person other than the author is allowed.

Submission guidelines

  • Format: Submissions accepted only in MS Word (.doc, .docx).
  • Word limit: Articles must be between 5,000 and 8,000 words including footnotes. The abstract must not exceed 250 words.
  • Citation style: OSCOLA Referencing Style, applied uniformly.
  • Body text: Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 line spacing. Citations in Times New Roman, size 10, single line spacing.
  • The author's name or any identifying detail must not appear in the manuscript. Author contact details, an undertaking of originality and the Copyright Form (available on the official website) should accompany the cover letter.
  • All citations must be in footnotes; speaking footnotes are discouraged. The manuscript must include an introduction and conclusion, and all pages must be numbered.
  • Submissions must be original and comply with UGC plagiarism norms.

Review and publication

All submissions go through a double-stage blind peer review. Papers are considered for publication on the ILR website only on the recommendation of the reviewers. Only shortlisted manuscripts will be contacted via email; if you do not hear back within two weeks of the deadline, you may assume your manuscript was not selected. There is no publication fee.

Important dates

ILR accepts submissions on a rolling basis. To be considered for the upcoming Summer 2026 issue (Vol. VII, Issue I), submit by 11:59 PM, 30 June 2026. Contributions sent after this date may be considered for Winter 2026 (Vol. VII, Issue II), subject to quality and plagiarism clearance.

Email your submission to usllsiplr@ipu.ac.in by 11:59 PM, 30 June 2026, with the subject line "ILR Summer: Vol. VII Issue I". All submissions are to be addressed to the Editor-in-Chief, Indraprastha Law Review, USLLS, GGS IP University, Delhi.

  • Manuscript in MS Word (.doc/.docx), 5,000-8,000 words including footnotes
  • Abstract of no more than 250 words
  • OSCOLA citations in footnotes; no author identification in the manuscript
  • Cover letter with contact details, originality undertaking and Copyright Form
