Overview

The School of Law, DY Patil Deemed to be University, Navi Mumbai invites you to the International Conclave on Sports Law & Global Sports Governance — themed Governance, Commercialisation and Sustainability in Contemporary Sport. Held as Session II of the School's Lecture-cum-Discussion Series, the conclave runs on 16–17 October 2026 in hybrid mode (physical and online).

As sport becomes more global and commercialised, it raises complex legal and governance questions around regulatory frameworks, dispute resolution, integrity, and athlete rights. This two-day conclave brings together scholars, practitioners, sports federation administrators, and global experts to engage with these issues, and lays the academic foundation for the School's proposed specialised LL.M. in International Sports Law and Governance.

About the organiser

The School of Law is a student-centric institution within DY Patil Deemed to be University, Navi Mumbai. It offers a comprehensive blend of theoretical and practical legal education across B.B.A. LL.B. The University, established over two decades ago on its 72-acre Nerul campus, is recognised for excellence in higher education across law, healthcare, and other disciplines.

Theme and tracks

Papers are invited across three tracks aligned to the conclave sessions:
