Overview

The Centre for Human Rights and Pro Bono Club, under the aegis of the School of Legal Studies, K.R. Mangalam University, is inviting papers for the 6th International Conference on Human Rights 2.0, Navigating AI's Frontiers. The conference is organised in collaboration with the Malaysia University of Science and Technology and the National Human Rights Commission (Government of India). It will be held in hybrid mode on 12 and 13 August 2026 at the university campus on Sohna Road, Gurugram, Haryana. If you are a law student, research scholar, academic, or professional thinking seriously about where artificial intelligence and human rights meet, this is a strong platform to present your work and engage with people working on the same questions.

The central concern of the conference is how rapidly advancing AI systems reshape rights such as privacy, equality, freedom of expression, dignity, and access to justice, and how law and policy should respond. Three best papers will each be recognised with a cash prize of 10,000 rupees, and the best twelve chapters are intended for Scopus indexed conference proceedings.

About the organiser

K.R. Mangalam University is a state private university established in 2013 under the Haryana Private Universities Act and empowered to award degrees under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. The campus is spread over 26 acres on Sohna Road in Gurugram, with views of the Aravalli hills. The School of Legal Studies offers BCI approved five-year integrated BBA LLB and BA LLB programmes, a three-year LLB, an LLM, and a PhD programme. It houses the Centre for Human Rights, an interdisciplinary research centre that is hosting this conference, working alongside the School's Pro Bono Club. The conference is held in collaboration with the Malaysia University of Science and Technology and the National Human Rights Commission (Government of India).
