The Department of Labour Law, Saveetha School of Law, SIMATS, Chennai is organising the International Conference on Roots, Rights & Recognition: Inclusivity of Transgender in Indian Society on 21 July 2026 (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) at the New Moot Court Hall, Saveetha School of Law. The conference brings together scholars and practitioners to examine the legal, social and policy dimensions of transgender rights and inclusion in India, with a focus on interdisciplinary and reform-oriented research.

Eligibility
The conference is open to academicians, legal professionals, policymakers, researchers, students, healthcare professionals, civil society organisations, media practitioners, and members of the transgender community.
Submission Guidelines
- Abstract: maximum 250 words, with less than 10% similarity and less than 5% AI-generated content.
- Full paper: 3,000 to 5,000 words.
- Formatting: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing.
- Citation style: ILI or OSCOLA.
- Co-authorship is permitted.
