The International Law Breakfast Briefings, run by the Centre for Law and Security (CERES) at the Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen, offer a regular opportunity for researchers, practitioners and students with an interest in international law to meet, exchange views and share research findings on current issues in the field.
The Autumn 2026 series has five sessions. The first two (24 September and 8 October) have already taken place; three sessions remain open for registration.
Each session features a presentation of approximately 20-25 minutes followed by a discussion, in English unless otherwise specified. Every session runs 8:45-9:45 Copenhagen time (CET), which is 1:15 pm-2:15 pm IST.
Sessions are held at South Campus, Room 6B.4.04, University of Copenhagen, and on Zoom. Coffee and croissants are available for registered participants attending in person.
The series is aimed at researchers, practitioners and students with an interest in international law. The series pages state no other restriction. Every session is held in person and on Zoom, and the Zoom link is sent in the email confirmation after registration, so remote participants, including those in India, can join online. The 29 October registration form asks you to choose in-person or Zoom participation.
The series pages and the registration forms list no fee or payment step; registration only asks for your name, title, organisation and email.
Register separately for each session you want to attend, using the 'Sign up for the breakfast briefing' form on that session's page (links below). The Zoom link is sent in the email confirmation. No registration closing date is published; register before the session begins at 8:45 am CET (1:15 pm IST) on the session day. The last session is on 10 December 2026.
Researchers, including PhD students, and practitioners working in international law who are interested in presenting at a session in the Spring 2027 series are invited to contact Cornelius Wiesener or Astrid Kjeldgaard-Pedersen (emails in the contact section).
