Law Mantra Trust, in academic collaboration with the Centre for Innovation and Intellectual Property Rights (CIIPR), Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab, is organising a Two-Day International Seminar on "Inclusive Labour Law Regime in India: Addressing Women Workers, Child Labour, and Informal Economy" on 16th and 17th October 2026. The seminar will be conducted online through Google Meet, Zoom, Cisco Webex or an equivalent platform.
RGNUL, Punjab was established by the State Legislature of Punjab through the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab Act, 2006, and is among the leading law teaching institutions in the country. Law Mantra Trust is a registered not-for-profit society working to enhance legal academics and legal awareness.
Labour is the foundation of economic growth and social development. India has consolidated numerous labour laws into four Labour Codes, raising important questions about the protection of vulnerable sections of the workforce, particularly women workers, children, and those employed in the informal economy, where nearly ninety percent of the workforce is engaged. The seminar seeks to create an academic platform for dialogue among scholars, judges, policymakers, practitioners, researchers, industry, trade unions, and students on contemporary labour law reforms, constitutional and human rights perspectives, international labour standards, and emerging challenges affecting vulnerable workers.
The seminar invites original research papers on the following indicative sub-themes:
Students, Research Scholars, Faculty Members, Academicians, Corporate Delegates, Business Entities, and Lawyers are eligible to participate and present papers.
Selected papers will be published in an edited book bearing an ISBN. Copyright shall remain with the authors and Law Mantra Trust. All registered participants receive a participation certificate.
