About the Chambers

The Chambers of Hon'ble Mr. Justice Pamidighantam Sri Narasimha, Judge, Supreme Court of India, run a dedicated internship programme for law students. Justice Narasimha enrolled as an advocate in 1988, was designated a Senior Advocate by the Full Court of the Supreme Court in 2008, and was appointed Additional Solicitor General of India in 2014. He appeared in constitutional, administrative and environmental matters and specialised in telecom, competition, electricity and other regulatory jurisdictions, and was appointed by the Supreme Court as mediator in the BCCI case. He was elevated as a Judge of the Supreme Court of India directly from the Bar on 31 August 2021.

Internship period and duration

The Chambers are currently accepting applications for one-month internships in the following months:

  • September 2026
  • October 2026
  • November 2026
  • December 2026

An applicant selects one month on the application form. Each month is applied for separately, with its own cut-off date.

Eligibility

The Chambers' application form states that internships are restricted to:

  • Students in the 3rd, 4th or 5th year of a five-year integrated law programme
  • Students in the 2nd or 3rd year of a three-year law programme
  • LL.M. students

The form places no restriction by university, and does not confine the call to National Law Universities, so students of any law school, college or university within these year groups may apply.

What the application asks for

Everything is submitted through the form itself. You will need:

  • Name, email address, mobile number, and the name of your law school, college or university
  • Your year of study, chosen from the eligible categories
  • A CV of two pages, uploaded as a PDF of up to 10 MB
  • A statement of purpose of strictly 500 words explaining your motivation for interning at these Chambers. The form adds a note asking applicants not to be generic.
  • A writing sample of approximately 1,500 words in PDF. It may be any piece of legal writing you produced during your academic study.
  • Your preferred month of internship

How to apply

Applications are accepted only through the Chambers' own Google Form, which the form itself records as having been created inside the office of Justice P.S. Narasimha. The form states that applications received outside it will not be considered, so there is no email or postal route to apply.

Queries about the programme may be sent to internships@psnj.in.

Cut-off date for each month

An application must be submitted through the form by the 10th day of the month preceding the internship month. The form gives the example that an application for October 2026 must be submitted on or before 10 September 2026.

December 2026 is the last month currently open on the form, so the final cut-off in this cycle is 10 November 2026.

Stipend and location

The Chambers' application form does not mention a stipend or any other remuneration, so pay is not specified. Applicants should confirm this with the Chambers before accepting an offer.

The Chambers sit at the Supreme Court of India in New Delhi, and the internship is undertaken there in person.
