The Journal on the Rights of the Child of National Law University Odisha (e-ISSN 3107-4030) is a double-blind peer reviewed, bi-annual, open access journal published by NLUO's Centre for Child Rights. It is a platform committed to mainstreaming pro-child-rights discourse across law, policy and practice.
Call for Submissions
Submissions are invited for Volume VII, Issue II (October 2026 edition). The journal welcomes work that explores contemporary issues around child rights, the juvenile justice system, legislative developments, the evolving socio-legal landscape of child well-being, and pop-culture discourse on children and their protection.
Categories and Word Limits
- Original research papers: 4,000-6,000 words
- Case commentaries: 1,500-2,000 words
- Notes and articles: 1,500-2,000 words
- Book reviews: 1,200-1,500 words
- Juvenile justice / legal developments summaries: 3,000-4,000 words
- Pop culture reviews: 1,200-1,500 words
- Media commentary on children in the news: 2,000-2,500 words
- Fact sheets with infographics
Submission Guidelines
- Abstract of 150-300 words with a minimum of five keywords
- Citations and bibliography in APA 7th edition format
- File format: .doc / .docx only; Times New Roman, 12 pt
- Plagiarism similarity below 10 percent (Turnitin); AI-generated content below the stated threshold
- Separate title page with author declarations on originality and AI use
How to Submit
Email your manuscript to ccr@nluo.ac.in with the subject line "Submission for CCR - NLUO Journal". Acceptance or rejection is generally conveyed within four weeks. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis for subsequent issues as well.
Fee
There are no fees for submission or publication.
