Judicial Internship at the Chambers of Hon'ble Mr. Justice Augustine George Masih, Supreme Court of India, New Delhi (Aug to Dec 2026; Rolling)

The Chambers of Hon'ble Mr. Justice Augustine George Masih, Judge, Supreme Court of India, are inviting applications for internships at the Supreme Court of India, New Delhi. Justice Masih was enrolled as an advocate on the rolls of the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana in 1987, was elevated to the Punjab and Haryana High Court in 2008, served as Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court, and took oath as a Judge of the Supreme Court on 9 November 2023.

Applications are invited on a rolling basis through a single Google Form, and the Chambers have not announced a closing date. The form makes the position plain: filling it in does not confer a right to intern, and is treated only as an invitation to apply, with confirmation subject to scrutiny by the competent authority.

The internship runs from August 2026 until the Winter Vacation, 2026. The application form asks candidates to select their preferred internship slots from the following months, and a candidate willing to intern for more than one month may select more than one:

• November 2026
• December 2026

The internship is in person at the Supreme Court of India, New Delhi. The Chambers expect candidates to make their own arrangements for lodging, boarding and travel, so there is no remote or online option.

• The applicant must be in the fourth or fifth year of the 5-year law programme, or in the final year of the 3-year law programme. This mandate may be relaxed subject to demonstrable experience, knowledge and skills in law.
• The applicant must have already pursued at least one internship at a trial court, and one at any of the High Courts within India.
• Preference is given to candidates who can demonstrate prior judicial internship experience.

The internship is unpaid. The form states in terms that the opportunity does not entitle the candidate to seek any remuneration.

Candidates are also expected to make their own arrangements for lodging and boarding, and for travel to and from New Delhi. There is no application fee.

• Applications are scrutinised by the competent authority of the Chambers.
• Shortlisted applicants are contacted by the competent authority and assessed on their knowledge of law, demeanour, communication skills and similar attributes. Failure to respond is deemed a cancellation of the candidature.
• Candidates finalised for the internship are ideally informed three to four weeks before joining, and are expected to confirm at least two weeks before the date of joining.
• Where a vacancy arises later, or a selected candidate cancels, other shortlisted applicants may be approached as late as a week before the joining date.

Applications are accepted only through the official Google Form linked below. The Chambers do not consider applications sent by email. The form is hosted on Google Forms and requires the applicant to be signed in to a Google account, since it records the name, email and photo attached to that account when files are uploaded.

Because applications are on a rolling basis and slots fill as they are confirmed, candidates are advised to apply early for the month they want.

Keep the following ready before opening the form:

• Full name, email, WhatsApp-accessible phone number with country code, and LinkedIn profile URL (optional).
• Law school details in the format: name of the law school, name of the university if applicable, city or district, state or country.
• Year of academics, and whether the internship is an assessment internship graded or marked by the law school.
• Preferred internship slots from the months listed above.
• Written answers on why the applicant opted to pursue law (100 to 150 words), why the applicant chose their law school (100 to 150 words), why the applicant wishes to intern at these Chambers (maximum 200 words), and what demonstrable knowledge or skill of law the applicant would bring (maximum 200 words).
• A cover letter and a CV or resume, each uploaded as a single PDF of up to 10 MB.
