The Office of Janani Shankar, Tanushree Arvind & Simran Srinivasan is looking to retain a Junior Associate at its Chennai chambers. If you are a young litigation lawyer with one to three years of experience and want exposure to a varied civil and commercial practice, this is a chance to work closely with a senior counsel on courtroom and advisory matters.

Janani Shankar is a counsel with over ten years of experience in civil and commercial litigation, arbitrations and civil advisory work. The chambers, which she runs together with Tanushree Arvind and Simran Srinivasan, handles a broad spread of disputes and advisory mandates.

The practice areas span civil and commercial litigation and arbitration, electricity law, company law, insolvency and bankruptcy, and environmental law.

As a Junior Associate you will be involved in the day-to-day running of an active litigation practice. Your responsibilities will include:

• Drafting pleadings and preparing case notes
• Conducting legal research across the chambers' practice areas
• Interacting with clients
• Appearing before various courts and tribunals in Chennai

The chambers is looking for candidates with post-qualification experience of 1 to 3 years. A genuine interest in civil and commercial litigation, arbitration and allied practice areas will help you make the most of the role.
