The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) has invited applications for engagement of Junior Legal Consultant on a contractual basis for its Mumbai and Pune offices, vide Advertisement No. MahaRERA/PraA/339/2026 dated 30 June 2026.

• Total posts: 4 (2 for Mumbai office, 2 for Pune office)
• Engagement: Contractual, for a period of six months
• Consolidated remuneration: Rs. 35,000/- per month

The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) is the state regulator for the real estate sector in Maharashtra, constituted under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016. It regulates registration of real estate projects and agents, oversees developer compliance, and adjudicates consumer grievances relating to real estate transactions across the state. MahaRERA is headquartered at Housefin Bhavan, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra (East), Mumbai.

• Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognised university
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Legal Consultant or in a similar position in Government/Semi-Government/Government undertaking/Corporation, or minimum 2 years' experience practicing as an Advocate in court, OR minimum 1 year of work experience at MahaRERA (after passing the law degree examination)
• Proficiency in operating computers and good skill in drafting legal matters
• Maximum age limit: 38 years

Consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 35,000/- for a contractual engagement of six months. No travel/fare charges will be paid to candidates attending the interview. MahaRERA reserves the right to amend the advertisement or cancel the entire contractual recruitment process at its discretion.

Applications received by email will be scrutinised for eligibility. The date, time and venue of the interview will thereafter be communicated to shortlisted candidates by the Appointing Authority through email.
