The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has invited online applications for Common Recruitment Process for Specialist Officers (CRP SPL-XVI), covering the post of Law Officer (Scale I) among six specialist cadres. There are 105 vacancies for Law Officer across 11 participating public sector banks. Online registration is open from 1 July 2026 to 21 July 2026.
IBPS is an autonomous body that has received a mandate from Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab National Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, UCO Bank and Union Bank of India to conduct this common recruitment process once a year. IBPS conducts the online Preliminary and Main examinations and declares results; interviews are conducted by the participating banks and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each state/UT/region. Provisional allotment to a specific bank follows the interview stage.
Selection is a three-stage process:
Rs. 175/- (inclusive of GST) for SC/ST/PwBD candidates; Rs. 850/- (inclusive of GST) for all other candidates. Payable online only, between 1 July 2026 and 21 July 2026. Bank transaction charges for online payment are to be borne by the candidate.
Specialist Officers, Scale I: Basic pay 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920, plus allowances and perquisites as per the rules of the participating bank in force from time to time.
Apply online only through the official IBPS website (www.ibps.in), via the "CRP SPL" link, which opens the online application for CRP-Specialist Officers (CRP SPL-XVI). New candidates must register to receive a provisional registration number and password (also sent by email/SMS), then upload photograph, signature, left thumb impression and a handwritten declaration, and pay the application fee online before the window closes on 21 July 2026.
