You would serve as a Law Officer (Public Prosecutor / Additional Public Prosecutor / Special Public Prosecutor) representing the State in criminal matters before the District and Subordinate Courts of Madurai District. The appointment is on a tenure basis of three years.

• An advocate with not less than seven years of practice may be appointed as a Public Prosecutor or an Additional Public Prosecutor.
• An advocate with not less than ten years of practice may be appointed as a Special Public Prosecutor.
