Legal Associate & Assessment Intern at Dhiren Shah & Co., Ahmedabad (Tax & White-Collar Litigation)

Dhiren Shah & Co., a long-established law firm in Ahmedabad, is inviting applications for one Legal Associate and three Assessment Intern positions. If you are drawn to direct taxation, white-collar crime, and high-stakes litigation before tribunals, High Courts, and the Supreme Court, this is a chance to work closely on real matters from day one.

The roles are based in the firm's Ahmedabad office, with selected candidates expected to join immediately on shortlisting, preferably in late June or July.

Dhiren Shah & Co. is an Ahmedabad-based law firm with over 35 years of experience across the legal and commerce fields. The firm's practice centres on litigation relating to direct taxation and white-collar crime, including Black Money cases, Benami Transactions law, FEMA matters, PMLA proceedings, and cases involving the Enforcement Directorate and other government authorities.

Hiring for these positions is being led by Adv. Nupur Shah (Head – Legal).

The firm is recruiting for two distinct tracks:

• One Legal Associate – a long-term role for a qualified lawyer.
• Three Assessment Interns – short-term placements (minimum three months) for current students.

Across both tracks, you will work on a mix of litigation, advisory, and research assignments involving taxation and regulatory matters. Expected work includes:

• Drafting replies to notices issued by authorities such as the Income Tax Department and the Enforcement Directorate.
• Drafting appeals before the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals), the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, and other appellate forums.
• Drafting petitions before the High Court of Gujarat and assisting in matters before the Supreme Court of India.
• Conducting legal research and assisting in case strategy.
• Contract drafting.
• Handling litigation before various tribunals and government authorities.

• Assessment Interns: must be in the final year of law school.
• Legal Associate: must be a law graduate with 0–2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).

• Assessment Internship: minimum three months.
• Legal Associate: long-term role.
• Date of joining: immediately upon final shortlisting, preferably in late June or July.
