Overview

Saffron Magicworks is hiring a full-time Legal Associate for its Media & Entertainment legal team in Juhu, Mumbai. If you have one to three years of experience working at the intersection of law, creativity and the entertainment business, this is a chance to work on the legal backbone of films, streaming content and television programming for one of India's well-known production houses.

Saffron Magicworks is a content and entertainment company engaged in creating stories, building intellectual property, and producing films and content across theatres, television and digital platforms. The studio (Saffron Magicworks Private Limited, CIN U74999MH2018PTC317922) is behind notable Hindi titles including Veere Di Wedding, Dabangg 3 and the Netflix thriller CTRL, and continues to develop original IP across formats.

The role

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Juhu, Mumbai. As Legal Associate, you will support the company's content and production business across feature films, digital and streaming content, and television and unscripted programming. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements relating to content, talent, production, licensing and allied rights.
  • Working on legal matters for feature films, digital and streaming content, and television and unscripted programming.
  • Supporting intellectual property development and protection.
  • Handling talent, production and commercial agreements.
  • Collaborating closely with the creative, business, financial and production teams.

Who can apply

Compensation
