Overview

Capital Now is hiring a full-time Legal Executive to join its legal and compliance team in Hyderabad. If you are an early-career lawyer with 1–3 years of post-qualification experience and an interest in corporate law, regulatory compliance, and contract management, this is a hands-on role inside a fast-moving fintech lending business.

You will sit close to the regulatory action — tracking RBI developments, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, and helping keep the lending platform compliant end to end.

About Capital Now

Capital Now is a digital-first lending platform built around making instant cash loans simple, secure, and stress-free. The company offers instant personal loans and loans against mutual funds, and is focused on democratising access to credit and keeping financial services transparent and accessible for every Indian.

It operates across Hyderabad, Bangalore, Noida, Pune, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi and more, and works within the RBI's NBFC and Lending Service Provider (LSP) framework.

The role

As Legal Executive you will support the legal and compliance function across regulatory monitoring, contracts, and customer-facing documentation. Day to day you can expect to:

  • Ensure adherence to RBI guidelines applicable to NBFCs and Lending Service Providers.
  • Track, review, and summarise RBI circulars on lending, outsourcing, customer communication, and data privacy.
  • Assist with RBI inspections, statutory audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Coordinate responses to RBI CMS complaints and regulatory grievances, and support the grievance redressal framework.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with vendors, SaaS partners, API integrations, payment gateways, and credit bureaus.
  • Prepare customer-facing documents such as loan agreements and grievance policies.
  • Review NBFC–LSP agreements for compliance and liability boundaries, and maintain a contract repository with renewal and compliance tracking.
  • Review app store listings for compliance with Google Play and Apple App Store policies.
  • Collaborate with product and tech teams on policy reviews, regulatory escalations, and aligning product flows with regulatory expectations.

Who can apply

Capital Now is looking for candidates who meet the following:

  • An LLB degree (LLM preferred).
  • 1–3 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law, fintech/compliance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of RBI regulations, the NBFC/LSP framework, and data privacy laws (IT Act, DPDP Act).
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication skills for cross-functional coordination.
  • High attention to detail with a structured, process-oriented approach.

Compensation and benefits

Capital Now offers a competitive salary with performance-based incentives. Additional benefits include:

  • Comprehensive health insurance for employees and their families.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.
  • A collaborative, inclusive, and supportive work environment.
  • Exposure to a dynamic, fast-paced fintech sector.

The specific salary figure is not disclosed in the posting.
