Legal Executive at Terra Economics & Analytics Lab (Remote, Telugu Required)

Terra Economics and Analytics Lab (TEAL) is hiring a Legal Executive to work on property title due diligence for the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana region. This is a full-time, work-from-home role focused on preparing Legal Scrutiny Reports and legal opinions that help clients carry out safe and secure property investments. If you have a few years of experience in real estate title work and can read Telugu, this one is for you.

TEAL is an end-to-end decision support platform for land and property, serving banks, housing finance companies, real estate and infrastructure developers, retail investors and transacting parties. Its analytical tools and services work on collated, organised and interpreted data drawn from land records, property registrations, tax filings, court mandates, land-use regulations, master plans, cadastral surveys, infrastructure plans, municipal by-laws, building codes and planning requirements.

The aim is to provide reliable information on property ownership, registration status, disputes and tax compliance history, so clients have what they need to make a safe and secure property investment.

As a Legal Executive, you will primarily work on the preparation of Legal Scrutiny Reports and provide legal opinions that empower clients and simplify their property due diligence journey. Your key responsibilities include:

• Verifying and drafting Title Due Diligence Reports and providing legal opinions for properties in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana region
• Effective management of cases allotted to you, with timely reporting of escalations
• Coordinating with external counsels and clients
• Conducting research on the land laws of different states and coordinating with vendors to secure documents and reports
• Drafting and vetting contracts and other documents
• Handling other related tasks assigned from time to time

TEAL is looking for someone who:

• Has 6 months to 3 years of expertise in drafting title due diligence reports
• Has a good understanding of real estate laws (sound knowledge of RERA is an added advantage)
• Is proficient in Telugu — the ability to read Telugu is a must
• Can work with confidential documents and pays attention to detail
• Is able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Has good communication skills
• Has prior experience in real estate law and knowledge of basic property documentation (an added advantage)

Location note: because the work is remote, candidates must be a current or prior resident of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana to be eligible.

The role pays a fee of Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000 per month, subject to a 10% TDS deduction (this works out to roughly Rs 3.6L–4.2L per year before TDS). Benefits include:
