Overview

Hikmat Helping Hands Foundation (HHHF) runs an online internship on a rolling monthly basis, and is currently inviting applications for its next cohort. If you care about human rights, social justice, public policy, or legal aid, this is a chance to put that interest to work alongside a grassroots NGO. The internship is fully remote, with a flexible workload of roughly 10-12 hours per week, so you can fit it around your studies. Applicants choose their preferred month and duration when they apply, so there is always an upcoming batch to join.

The next monthly cohort runs from 1 August to 30 August 2026, with applications accepted up to about 25 July 2026. There is no application fee.

About the organiser

Hikmat Helping Hands Foundation (HHHF) is a Section 8, not-for-profit grassroots NGO (CIN U88900DL2025NPL448707) committed to empowering marginalised communities across India through legal aid, social awareness, education, and poverty-alleviation initiatives.

Through pro bono legal clinics and rights-awareness workshops, HHHF helps vulnerable communities understand and assert their fundamental rights. Its social campaigns, run both online and through local outreach camps, focus on gender equity, child rights, environmental justice, and public health. The Foundation also partners with schools and community centres on digital literacy and remedial tutoring for underprivileged students, and runs micro-enterprise training, financial literacy sessions, and relief distribution during crises. Youth engagement is central to its mission, with students mentored to lead and manage community projects.
