Legal Internship at Kumar Legal Research LLP, Mumbai (Litigation)

Kumar Legal Research LLP is inviting applications for two roles at its Mumbai office: Associate - Litigation and Legal Intern. If you are drawn to commercial litigation, arbitration, NCLT matters, taxation, and white-collar crime, this is a chance to work hands-on with a firm that has a strong litigation and taxation practice. Kumar Legal Research LLP (KLR) is a full-service Indian law firm headquartered in Mumbai, with a presence in Delhi, Patna, Lucknow and Thane. The firm advises a niche set of corporate clients across corporate law, taxation, litigation, intellectual property and restructuring. Its core strengths lie in taxation and commercial litigation, and it appears regularly before the High Court, NCLT, Sessions and District Courts, and the DRT, while also handling criminal, civil, GST, real estate and IPR matters.

The firm is hiring for two distinct positions at its Mumbai office:

• Associate - Litigation: a qualified lawyer to handle a range of litigation matters, including commercial disputes, arbitration, NCLT matters, taxation, and criminal and white-collar crime issues.
• Legal Intern: a student or recent graduate keen to learn litigation and legal practice, with strong research and drafting skills.

For Associate - Litigation:

• Minimum 1-2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
• Prior litigation experience is mandatory.
• Exposure to commercial litigation, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), NCLT matters, taxation, and criminal and white-collar crime matters.

For Legal Intern:

• Students in the penultimate or final year of their law degree are preferred.
• Strong research and drafting skills, with proficiency in using online legal databases.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a keen, analytical approach to problem-solving.
