Legal Internship at National Centre for Law and Administration (NCLA), LBSNAA, Mussoorie [4 Weeks; Final-Year Law Students; Rolling Applications]

The National Centre for Law & Administration (NCLA) is a centre of the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, the national training academy for civil servants. The Centre works to sharpen the legal acumen of civil servants and to provide focused legal education on statutes, constitutional provisions and judicial pronouncements through training programmes and research.

Its work includes curating law inputs for the Academy's mandatory training courses, running workshops for serving officers on important new Acts and judgments, organising legal aid camps, debates and moots for trainee officers, and collecting and summarising significant case law for officers in the field.

NCLA accepts undergraduate final-year law students as interns for four weeks at the Centre in LBSNAA, Mussoorie. Applications are taken on a rolling basis through the Centre's official online form on the NIC Forms portal.

The application form lists two start dates for the current cycle:

• 23 November 2026
• 21 December 2026

Applicants must state that they are willing and available to intern from one of these two dates. The form warns that an application giving any other date will be deemed rejected.

• Only undergraduate law students in their final year may apply.
• Applicants must be able to produce the ID card issued by their university, college or institute when required.
• Selection is based on merit. The form asks applicants to list and prove their certificates of merit, for example winning or being runner-up in a national moot court competition, or publications (the form mentions publications with royalty).

The official application form does not mention a stipend. There is no application fee.

Fill in the official online form on the NIC Forms portal. It asks for:

• Your name, mobile number and email address
• Your current semester of the law course
• Your department, university, college or institute, with its website
• The number of certificates of merit you hold, such as Winner or Runner-up in national moot court competitions or publications
• Your preferred start date (23 November 2026 or 21 December 2026)
• An upload of your university, college or institute ID card
• An upload of proof of your certificates of merit

The form also requires a captcha and a declaration that the information you give is true.

The Centre states that any attempt to influence the selection process through personal connections, recommendations, informal networking or any other persuasive communication, whether by email, phone, message or any other mode, will lead to the immediate disqualification of the application. Apply only through the form and do not follow up to press your candidature.
