Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal expertise and support to the Loan Against Property team, ensuring compliance with regulations and managing legal risks.
- Oversee and review legal documentation, including loan agreements, security documents, and other legal contracts.
- Offer strategic legal advice to mitigate risks and protect the bank's interests during the loan process.
- Collaborate with credit, collections, and operations teams to ensure a seamless and compliant loan journey for customers.
- Manage a team of legal professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective legal services.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making and advise on potential legal implications.
- Represent the bank in legal proceedings, negotiations, and mediations as required.
Eligibility and Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or an equivalent legal degree is mandatory.
- Admission to the Bar Council of India or a valid licence to practise law is essential.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a legal role, with a focus on banking and finance law.
- Proven experience in managing a legal team and providing strategic legal advice.
- Excellent knowledge of Indian contract law, property law, and relevant regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and legal research skills.
