The Rajasthan High Court has invited online applications for contractual engagement as Legal Researcher under its Scheme for Engaging Legal Researcher (Amendment, 2021). Legal Researchers are deputed to assist Hon'ble Judges in judicial work such as searching case law, articles and papers, taking down notes of arguments, preparing case summaries and notes, and assisting in administrative work.
Three abridged advertisements (RHC/Exam Cell/LR/2026/1010, 1011 and 1012, all dated 06.07.2026) have been issued for a combined total of 4 posts against three Hon'ble Judges.
Online applications are placed before the Hon'ble Judge concerned. Under the Judge's directions, applications may be shortlisted on the basis of academic record and extracurricular achievements. Final selection is made by interview conducted by the Hon'ble Judge concerned, to assess the candidate's suitability. Candidates must bring all original documents at the time of interview.
Engagement is on a pure temporary contractual basis for one year, extendable for up to 4 further years or till the retirement of the concerned Hon'ble Judge, whichever is earlier, subject to satisfactory performance. This does not entitle the candidate to claim any regular appointment. A fixed honorarium of Rs. 50,000 per month is paid, without dearness or other allowance/perquisite. The Legal Researcher is entitled to one casual leave on completion of each calendar month.
Eligible candidates must apply online through the official application portal. Candidates can also apply through e-Mitra kiosks (applicable service charges apply). Keep a scanned photo (10-25 KB) and signature (10-25 KB) ready before starting the form. An application/examination fee of Rs. 100 must be paid online; the application is complete only once the candidate's Unique Application Number is generated after payment. Candidates should take a printout of the completed application form for their own records.
