Call for Blogs, Articles and Essays: LiF Insights on Caste, Gender and the Constitution (Edited E-Book) [Deadline 30 September]

LiF Insights is the publication platform of Life Inspiring Foundation (LiF), a non-profit organisation. It is planned as a quarterly edited e-book, each edition on a contemporary social, constitutional, educational or developmental theme.

Caste, Gender and the Constitution: Pathways to Equality and Equity in India

The call asks contributors to go beyond theory and examine how the constitutional values of equality, justice, dignity, liberty and fraternity meet the realities of caste, gender and social exclusion in India today, and what pathways lead to a more equitable society.

• Caste, intersectionality and systemic exclusion
• From formal equality to substantive equity (affirmative action, reservations, welfare)
• Gender justice and institutional rights
• Grassroots resistance and stories of change
• Education, youth and social justice
• Law, institutions and social change
• Labour, livelihoods and social protection
• Digital inclusion, caste and gender
• Fraternity, inclusion and the future of India

The call is open to students, research scholars, academicians, researchers, social workers, activists, teachers, young professionals and writers. There is no restriction by discipline, as long as the piece engages with the theme or a sub-theme.

• Blog: 600 to 1,000 words
• Article: 1,200 to 1,500 words
• Essay: 1,200 to 1,500 words

Each contributor may submit one piece. The announcement says a deviation of more than 10% from the word limit leads to rejection; the poster says no deviation is allowed, so stay within the limit.

• Original and unpublished, in Word format (.doc or .docx).
• A suitable title, the author's name and affiliation, and an author bio of 50 to 70 words.
• References wherever appropriate, especially for articles and essays.
• AI-generated or AI-assisted content above 10% leads to rejection.
• Plagiarism or similarity above 10% leads to rejection.

Submissions are accepted only through the official LiF Insights Google Form. You will need to give your contact details, affiliation, category, title, sub-theme, word count, a brief summary and the author bio, upload the manuscript, and make originality, AI-use, plagiarism and publication-consent declarations.

Selected submissions go through editorial review and may be included in the LiF Insights quarterly edited e-book (PDF), published by Life Inspiring Foundation. The e-book is planned to carry an ISBN, which LiF says will be added once it is assigned. Selected pieces are also featured on lifngo.org and LiF's digital platforms.

The best blog, article and essay each receive a Certificate of Appreciation, and other selected contributors receive certificates. There is no cash prize and no submission fee.
