Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (A Central University), Lucknow, by Public Notice Letter No. ACD47394/BBAU/26 dated 6 October 2026, has reopened the SAMARTH admission portal for both CUET and non-CUET applicants for admission to the LL.M. Human Rights (12 Paid Seats) programme for 2026-27. The programme is offered by the Department of Human Rights, School of Legal Studies, and runs for 2 years (4 semesters) according to the university's Admission Prospectus for PG Programmes 2026-27.
The notice sets out two categories, and candidates will be considered in this order of preference:
The Admission Prospectus for PG Programmes 2026-27 lists the eligibility for LL.M. (Human Rights) as a Law Graduate Degree (three or five years LL.B.) with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD/EWS candidates) from a recognised university or institution. The CUET (PG) test paper code for the programme is COQP14.
The October 2026 public notice is for 12 paid seats. Note that the seat table in the Admission Prospectus for PG Programmes 2026-27 listed 8 paid seats out of a total of 46 for this programme; the later public notice states 12 paid seats.
The prospectus lists the tuition fee as Rs 45,000 for paid seats (against Rs 1,500 for regular seats). Under the prospectus, if a regular seat falls vacant after any phase of admission, only candidates admitted under the paid seat category are upgraded to a regular seat, strictly on merit and following the BBAU reservation policy; an upgraded candidate gets no fee refund or adjustment for the current semester and pays regular fees from the next semester.
