Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), Gandhinagar has issued Notification No. SS/04/NRI/NRI Sponsored/PG/01082026 dated 01 August 2026, inviting applications for admission under the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) / NRI Sponsored category to its Post Graduate (LL.M.) Programme for the Academic Year 2026-27. Candidates who appeared in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 and satisfy the eligibility conditions may apply directly to the University.
Gujarat National Law University is a National Law University established by the State of Gujarat, located at Attalika Avenue, Knowledge Corridor, Koba, Gandhinagar. Its Gandhinagar campus offers the one-year LL.M. (PG) programme with four specialisations: Corporate and Business Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, Criminal and Security Law, and Intellectual Property Law. Where fewer than ten students enrol in a particular specialisation, the University reserves the right to decide whether or not to offer it.
Three (03) seats are on offer under the NRI / NRI Sponsored category for the PG (LL.M.) Programme under this notification.
A candidate seeking admission under the NRI / NRI Sponsored category must satisfy any one of the following conditions:
A non-refundable application fee of INR 10,000/- is payable online through the payment link generated on the University's online application portal after the form is saved.
Applications are made directly to the University through its online application portal. The University prescribes the following steps:
Candidates may upload documents or edit the application form until 06 August 2026, 12:00 P.M. Incomplete application forms, including those with documents or fees not submitted, shall be rejected. If a candidate selects the wrong admission category, the candidate alone is responsible for the result, and the University will not accept or edit the admission category once the application is submitted.
The following documents must be submitted at the time of applying under this category, with originals to be produced at the time of admission:
Selection is purely on the basis of CLAT ranking, out of the applications received by GNLU under this category. Applications received after the due date will not be considered.
Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination must produce evidence of having passed it at the time of admission. Students who passed their qualifying examination from schools located outside India, affiliated to boards other than CBSE, ISCE, IB and Cambridge, must produce an equivalency certificate from the Association of Indian Universities at the time of admission. Candidates applying under the PG programme must submit the final year mark sheet of the LL.B. programme at the time of admission.
