Madhya Pradesh Yatri Parivahan and Infrastructure Limited (MPYPIL) is a State Government company set up by the Transport Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, as the State Transport Undertaking. It is the nodal agency for the Mukhyamantri Sugam Parivahan Seva Yojana, which is meant to run safe, affordable and technology-enabled passenger transport on urban, rural and intercity routes across the State.
By Recruitment Notification No. MPYPIL/HR(02)/2026/603 dated 24 July 2026, MPYPIL has invited online applications for the Senior Management category. Among the fourteen posts advertised in that category is Manager (Legal & Regulatory), a law-qualified position carrying a consolidated pay of Rs 94,248 per month. Eight vacancies have been notified for this post.
Reservation benefits are available only to candidates holding Madhya Pradesh domicile. Non-domicile candidates are treated as Unreserved. The final selection list for OBC posts is subject to the outcome of Writ Petition No. 5901/2019 pending before the High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur.
The candidate must be an Indian citizen and must satisfy the qualification prescribed in clause 15 of the Senior Management Rule Book for this post:
The rule book prints the age band for this post as a minimum of 25 years and a maximum of 50 years. The corrigendum dated 30 July 2026 moves the age-reckoning date for all Section 15 posts from 1 January 2026 to 1 July 2026. The same corrigendum lowers the minimum age from 35 to 30 for every post in this category except Manager (Legal & Regulatory), which therefore keeps its own printed band. Only the Class 10 certificate or mark sheet is accepted as proof of age.
Candidates already serving in Government, semi-Government, autonomous bodies or PSUs must produce a No Objection Certificate from their employer at the interview stage.
After acquiring the essential qualification, an applicant must be able to show:
Preference is given to candidates with experience in the implementation of transport, electric vehicle and vehicle scrapping policies; legal scrutiny of contracts with public transport operators, aggregator companies and private operators; arbitration, conciliation or other ADR mechanisms; and running training programmes or workshops on road safety, traffic regulation and legal compliance.
The rule book describes the work of the Manager (Legal & Regulatory) as including:
The Manager (Legal & Regulatory) post sits inside a larger MPYPIL drive of 399 contractual posts advertised through three separate notifications and rule books, all dated 24 July 2026:
Every post in the drive is contractual for one year, extendable at MPYPIL's discretion. A candidate who clears probation may be absorbed into the designated post and pay scale, a decision that rests with the Appointing Authority.
There is no written examination. Selection is by interview cum document verification. MPYPIL may shortlist candidates for the interview on the prescribed eligibility criteria and merit, and the final list is drawn up on eligibility, qualification, experience, suitability and the interview.
Shortlisted candidates are informed through notices on the MPOnline portal, the Transport Department website and by email, and must appear with all original documents, two sets of self-attested photocopies, two passport-size photographs and a copy of the submitted application form. Appointment is further subject to medical fitness and character verification. Where two candidates tie on merit, the elder candidate is preferred.
Applications are accepted only through the MPOnline portal at iforms.mponline.gov.in, under the Senior Management Posts entry. No offline application is accepted and no hard copies need to be sent to MPYPIL.
