Qualifications are as prescribed under the UGC Regulations 2018 (and University norms), with Law as the relevant discipline:

• Associate Professor: A good academic record with a Ph.D. in Law; a Master's degree in Law with at least 55% marks (relaxable for reserved categories as per rules); a minimum of 8 years of teaching and/or research experience; and the Academic/Research Score required under UGC norms.
• Assistant Professor: A Master's degree in Law with at least 55% marks (relaxable for reserved categories) along with NET/SLET/SET, or a Ph.D. awarded in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations.
