Saveetha School of Law, SIMATS, is organising CIPR 2026 - the National Conference on Legal Challenges in IPR: Innovation, Public Health and Sustainable Development (Future Perspectives) on 22 August 2026 in hybrid mode (offline at the campus and online), from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Intellectual Property Rights sit at the centre of innovation-driven economies. Rapid advances in technology, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and sustainable innovation continually create new legal challenges that demand a balanced response between private rights and the wider public interest. This conference brings together academicians, researchers, practitioners and students to examine these tensions and chart future perspectives.
The conference explores the interface between intellectual property protection and three pressing public concerns:

Registration is confirmed only after successful verification of the fee. Only participants whose abstracts are accepted should complete the registration form, on or before 12 August 2026.

The conference is held in hybrid mode. Participants are encouraged to attend and present in person at Saveetha School of Law, SIMATS, Chennai, though online presentation is also available. First preference for the Best Paper and Best Presenter Awards is given to offline presenters.
