NLSIU PACE Admissions 2026-27: Master of Business Laws and Nine Postgraduate Diploma Programmes, Bengaluru [Hybrid; Open to Non-Law Graduates]

NLSIU's Professional and Continuing Education wing (NLS PACE) is admitting students for the academic year 2026-27 to its Master of Business Laws and nine postgraduate diploma programmes in law, together with its Foundations for a Legal Education course.

The programmes are designed for working professionals: all PACE programmes are hybrid, with online classes held on alternate weekends (Saturday and Sunday) from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.

• Postgraduate Diploma in Human Rights Law (PGDHRL)
• Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights Law (PGDIPRL)

• Foundations for a Legal Education

The minimum eligibility for the Master of Business Laws and the postgraduate diploma programmes is a graduate degree from a recognised university, in law or in any other field. Qualifications accepted include UGC-recognised degrees, CA, CS and ICWA, as well as degrees earned through distance learning.

All PACE programmes are hybrid. Online classes are held on alternate weekends, Saturday and Sunday, from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, which is what makes the programmes workable alongside full-time employment or practice.

Master of Business Laws (two years): Year 1 totals Rs 57,000, made up of an application fee of Rs 2,000, admission fee of Rs 3,000, course fee of Rs 48,000 and examination fee of Rs 4,000. Year 2 totals Rs 46,000, being a course fee of Rs 42,000 and an examination fee of Rs 4,000. The two-year cost is Rs 1,03,000.

Postgraduate diplomas at Rs 57,000: Intellectual Property Rights Law, Medical Law & Ethics, Cyber Law & Cyber Forensics, Arbitration Law and Taxation Law. This comprises an application fee of Rs 2,000, admission fee of Rs 3,000, course fee of Rs 48,800 and examination fee of Rs 3,200.

Postgraduate diplomas at Rs 33,000: Human Rights Law, Environmental Law, Child Rights Law and Consumer Law & Practice.

Foreign nationals pay higher fees, ranging from Rs 79,700 to Rs 1,48,000.

Applications are made through the NLS PACE online admissions portal. Self-attested soft copies of supporting documents may be uploaded on the portal. Candidates whose final transcripts are not yet available may upload soft copies with a written declaration and an explanation of their situation.

The last date to apply and enrol has been extended to 31 August 2026.

Classes are tentatively slated to begin by mid-September 2026 and assessment is scheduled for June 2027. Both are stated by the University to be subject to change in accordance with notifications issued from time to time.
