The National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru invites applications for its Research Fellowships across multiple positions. The fellowships are offered on a contract basis and provide an opportunity to be part of NLSIU's rich intellectual environment, including its workshops, seminars, extensive library and digital resources, and publication platforms.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed in rounds. Applications received up to June 30, 2026 (11:59 pm) will be considered in the current (third) round of review.
Graduate Research Fellowship: Graduate degree in law or postgraduate degree in social sciences, public policy or allied fields, with 0–3 years of work experience.
NLSIU Postdoctoral Fellowship: PhD in law, social sciences, public policy or allied disciplines awarded within the past three years, with no prior postdoctoral position elsewhere.
University Research Fellowship: PhD plus at least 10 years of teaching experience and an established record of publication in recognised journals.
Fellows are ordinarily expected to be on campus at NLSIU, Bengaluru during their fellowship period, with case-by-case flexibility in some instances.
