The Noida Legal Service Trust (NLST) is organising the NLST National Virtual Conference 2026 on the theme “India in the Contemporary International Legal Order: Emerging Prospects.” The conference examines India’s evolving role as a key actor in shaping global legal norms and institutions, providing a platform for scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and students to discuss India’s contributions in areas such as international trade, climate change, human rights, and digital governance.
Noida Legal Service Trust is a registered NGO committed to promoting access to justice, legal awareness, and practical skill development among aspiring legal professionals. It bridges the gap between legal education and real-world practice through conferences, workshops, competitions, and training programmes.
These are indicative sub-themes and the list is not exhaustive.
Open to law students (UG/PG), academicians, researchers, PhD scholars, advocates, legal practitioners, NGOs, and professionals working in the human rights field. A maximum of two co-authors is permitted per paper, and UG/PG students must participate with a teacher or research scholar as co-author.
Abstracts must be 250 words with 5 keywords, including title, research problem, methodology, and key arguments/conclusion, submitted only via the official Google Form (not by email). Full papers must be 4,000-5,000 words (excluding footnotes), in MS Word, A4 size with 1-inch margins, Times New Roman 12pt body (1.5 spacing) and 10pt footnotes (single spacing), citing in Bluebook (21st edition). Presentations are virtual: 7 minutes for presentation plus 3 minutes for Q&A, delivered in English via PowerPoint.

Each author must register and pay separately. Payment must be made through the official link, and a screenshot of payment confirmation is mandatory. No refund is issued for absence on the conference day.
Selected papers undergo peer review, evaluated on originality, depth of legal analysis, use of authorities, clarity, presentation skills, time management, and response to questions. The decision of the Review Committee is final and binding. Selected papers may be published in a peer-reviewed journal under UGC guidelines, subject to an additional publication fee (optional, separate from conference registration).
Best Presenter: Rs. 1,500. Second Best Presenter: Rs. 1,000. Third Best Presenter: Rs. 500. Top 3 receive a certificate and memento; the top 10 presenters receive a certificate of merit. Certificates are issued only to participants who present their paper and attend the valedictory session.
