The Noida Legal Service Trust (NLST) is organising the NLST RTI Drafting Competition 2026, a national-level online competition designed to promote awareness and practical understanding of the Right to Information Act, 2005. The competition challenges participants to draft clear, precise and effective RTI applications that address real-world governance issues, bridging the gap between legal theory and practice.
Noida Legal Service Trust is a registered NGO committed to legal awareness and access to justice. Its work includes pro bono representation for marginalised clients, legal awareness programmes, PILs and RTI campaigns, and internship and training programmes for law students.
The competition is open to law students and individuals interested in public policy. Participants may register as an individual or as a team.
Interested candidates must register and pay the applicable fee through the official Razorpay registration link. Registrations close on 10 August 2026 and drafted submissions must be submitted by 13 August 2026. Refer to the official brochure and rulebook on the NLST competition page for the problem statement and detailed submission guidelines.
Merit and participation certificates are provided to participants, and top performers are offered direct entry to NLST research fellowships.
