About the Journal

The NLUD Journal on Labour is an annual, double-blind peer-reviewed journal published by the Centre for Labour Law Research and Advocacy (CLLRA), National Law University, Delhi. It aims to promote interdisciplinary scholarship on labour and related issues by fostering diverse academic perspectives.

Theme of the Third Issue (2026-27)

The Third Issue of the Journal focuses on the theme Technology, Labour and Governance, providing a platform for interdisciplinary writings that examine how technological change is reshaping labour, work and its governance.

Types of Submissions and Word Limits

  • Special Articles: 8,000 - 10,000 words
  • Short Articles: 5,000 - 8,000 words
  • Insights / Perspectives: 3,500 - 4,500 words
  • Book Reviews / Case Notes: 2,500 - 3,000 words
  • Field Notes / Pictorial Commentaries: 1 - 2 pages

All word limits are inclusive of footnotes.

Submission Guidelines

  • All submissions (except Book Reviews) should be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 300 words and 5 important keywords.
  • Referencing and citations must conform to the APA citation style.
  • Student submissions (UG/PG) will not be considered for the Journal.

Conditions of Publication

Exclusive Submission Policy: All submissions must be original and not under simultaneous consideration by any other publication.

Indemnity for Liability: The journal assumes no liability for any infringement; the author bears full responsibility and any associated consequences.

Copyright Policy: As a condition of publication, authors grant the NLUD Journal on Labour an irrevocable, transferable, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce, publish and distribute their work in any form.

How to Submit

All submissions must be made online through the submission portal (cllra.com) or by email to jol@nludelhi.ac.in. There is no submission or publication fee stated in the call.
