Paid Legal Internship at DPIIT IPR Chair, NUSRL Ranchi (Stipend Rs 10,000 per month; 1-3 Months, In-Office; 2 Positions; Apply by 10 November 2026)

In accordance with the SPRIHA Guidelines for the Financial Year 2026–2027, the DPIIT–IPR Chair at the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, invites applications for its Offline Internship Programme for November 2026. The programme aims to give students practical exposure to Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), academic research, legal developments, policy-related issues and institutional activities undertaken by the Chair.

• Students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies in Law or related disciplines, with a demonstrated interest in Intellectual Property Rights
• Applicants must possess a basic to advanced understanding of Intellectual Property Rights
• Preference will be given to candidates with relevant academic, research, publication or project experience in the field of IPRs

A maximum of two (2) interns per month will be selected. The internship is conducted strictly in offline mode at the DPIIT–IPR Chair Office, National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi, Jharkhand. Selected candidates must be physically present at the office and work under the supervision and guidance of the Chair throughout the internship, and must take part actively in the research, academic, administrative and outreach activities assigned to them. No online, virtual or remote internship facility is provided.

• The internship is initially for one month.
• Subject to satisfactory performance and the approval of the DPIIT–IPR Chair, it may be extended up to a maximum of three months.
• Each selected intern receives a stipend of ₹10,000 (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) per month for the approved duration.

Selection is made by the DPIIT–IPR Chair on the basis of merit, academic credentials, research experience, Statement of Purpose and the relevance of the applicant's academic interests to the objectives and activities of the Chair. The decision of the Chair on selection is final.

Applications must be submitted exclusively through the prescribed Google Form (https://forms.gle/gw7GWMKnAQWeVL2v9) on or before 10 November 2026. Applications by email, post or any other mode will not be considered, and no application received after the deadline will be entertained.

Applicants must provide:

• Curriculum Vitae (CV) highlighting academic qualifications, grades, research experience, publications and relevant achievements
• Statement of Purpose (SOP) of not more than 500 words explaining the applicant's interest in Intellectual Property Rights and the reasons for seeking an internship with the DPIIT–IPR Chair
• Contact details of two academic or professional referees

• Selected candidates are engaged for the November 2026 internship period.
• Physical attendance at the DPIIT–IPR Chair Office, NUSRL Ranchi, is mandatory throughout the internship.
• Selected candidates must make their own arrangements for accommodation, food and local transportation.
• The internship starts on the date communicated to selected candidates by the Chair.
