The National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJAA), Guwahati, has opened a second section of its One-Year LL.M. Degree Programme for the academic session 2026-2027, pursuant to the Bar Council of India's approval dated 3 July 2026. This is an additional round of admission over and above the seats already filled. Admission is made strictly on the basis of a valid CLAT-2026 score, in accordance with the University's seat matrix and reservation policy on merit.
Seats are available across All India General (Unreserved), Assam General (PRA), OBC-NCL (All India and Assam), Scheduled Caste (All India and Assam), Scheduled Tribe (All India and Assam Hills & Plains), PWD, EWS (All India and Assam), Wards of Defence Personnel stationed in Assam, Wards of Jammu & Kashmir Migrants, and NRI/NRI (Sponsored) categories.
Candidates must hold a valid CLAT-2026 score. Admission is offered on merit as per the CLAT-2026 ranking within each category, subject to the University's seat matrix and reservation policy.
Candidates applying under reserved categories must produce valid supporting certificates (Caste/PRC/PWD/OBC-NCL/MOBC-NCL, and current-year certificates for OBC-NCL/EWS). Please note: candidates who already applied against the vacant seats (notifications dated 4 June 2026 and 11 June 2026) need not apply again.
Apply online through the University's Samarth admission portal at https://nluassamadm.samarth.edu.in/2026/. The application form link remains available until 13 July 2026 (Midnight).
Application fee is Rs 750 for Unreserved candidates and Rs 500 for Reserved candidates. Incomplete applications, or those without payment of the application fee, will not be considered. A category-wise Merit List (based on CLAT-2026 ranking) will be published on 15 July 2026, and selected PG candidates must deposit the admission amount by 20 July 2026 (Midnight) to confirm their seat.
