The DPIIT-IPR Chair and the Centre for Research in Intellectual Property (CRIP), Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai, present a five-day online Certificate Course on Emerging Aspects of Copyright and the Future of Creativity, from 26 to 30 October 2026, 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM IST each day.
The course explores the relationship between copyright law, technological innovation and creative expression in the digital era. Artificial Intelligence, social media platforms, digital content distribution systems and open-source models have changed how creative works are produced, disseminated and consumed, and the expert-led sessions cover the fundamentals of copyright, AI and copyright, personality rights and copyright, copyright versus copyleft, and copyright challenges in the social media ecosystem.
MNLU Mumbai has set up a Centre for Research in IP among its sixteen centres for legal research, and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, has established an IPR Chair in the University.
Every session runs from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM IST.
