Established in 1923, the Indian Law Society (ILS) has been a pioneer in legal education, committed to academic excellence and socially relevant learning. ILS Law College, Pune was founded in 1924, celebrated its centenary in the academic year 2023-24, and is rated A+ by NAAC.
As part of its flagship initiative Towards Conscious Legal Education (TCLE), ILS offers specialised programmes in emerging areas of law that extend beyond the conventional legal curriculum, with a strong emphasis on practical learning and contemporary legal challenges. TCLE has previously run diplomas and certificate courses in corporate laws, cyber laws, competition law, human rights, intellectual property, company law, media and entertainment laws, FDI and FEMA, and energy laws, among others.
As part of the TCLE initiative, ILS is presenting the Online Certificate Programme on Sports Law, designed to equip participants with the specialised knowledge and practical skills required in the rapidly expanding world of sports.
The programme is delivered by leading legal practitioners and subject experts, and is intended for lawyers, law students, sports administrators, athletes and professionals seeking to build a career in Sports Law or to strengthen their knowledge of it.
The programme runs from 17 to 25 August 2026 and is conducted entirely online. Sessions are held from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
The programme fee is Rs 5,000, inclusive of GST.
A certificate is awarded on completion of the programme, subject to 60 per cent attendance and passing the evaluation.
ILS has not published a separate online registration form or a last date to register for this programme. Interested participants should write to the Course Coordinator, Sukanya Joshirao, at ilsautonomousprograms@ilslaw.in or call 9921514042 to enrol and to obtain the fee payment details. Given that the programme begins on 17 August 2026, applicants are advised to contact the coordinator well before that date.
