The Oxford Dharma Conference 2026 is an international scholarly gathering convened by the Oxford Dharma Centre for Research and Policy at All Souls College, University of Oxford on 26 and 27 October 2026. The conference brings together scholars, researchers, practitioners and students to examine the concept of Dharma across law, ethics, governance, philosophy, culture and community life.
Building on the momentum of its previous edition, which drew more than 400 submissions from over 330 institutions worldwide and is held at landmark Oxford venues, the conference offers a rigorous, peer-reviewed platform for interdisciplinary engagement. Selected contributions are considered for peer-reviewed proceedings and wider research output, making this a significant opportunity for those working at the intersection of Dharma, jurisprudence and policy.
The conference invites original work across the following six thematic tracks. Interdisciplinary submissions are strongly encouraged:
The call for papers is open to scholars, researchers, practitioners and students from all disciplines and regions. Contributions exploring Dharma in relation to law, governance, ethics, society and culture are welcome. Interdisciplinary and cross-traditional perspectives are particularly valued.
All submissions must be made through the official conference website. Begin by submitting your abstract via the official submission portal at oxforddharma.org/conference on or before the abstract deadline. Shortlisted authors will be invited to submit a full paper.
