About the Recruitment

The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) functions under the Department of Environment, Government of NCT of Delhi, from its office at IT Park, DMRC Building, Shastri Park, Delhi. By circular F.No. DPCC/(3)(2)(46)/Admn-19/2065 dated 17 July 2026, signed by the Member Secretary and the Administrative Officer, DPCC has invited applications to fill 54 posts on deputation (including short term contract) across twelve cadres, ranging from Senior Environmental Engineer and Additional Director (Scientist 'E') down to Senior Lab Assistant.

Six of those 54 posts are legal posts, and it is these that concern law graduates already in government service: one Assistant Law Officer and five Legal Assistants. The number of posts is described in the advertisement as tentative and is likely to increase or decrease.

The Two Legal Posts

  • Assistant Law Officer: 01 post, Pay Level 7 of the Pay Matrix (Rs 44,900 to 1,42,400).
  • Legal Assistant: 05 posts, Pay Level 6 of the Pay Matrix (Rs 35,400 to 1,12,400).

Both are to be filled on deputation, including short term contract, for a period of one year extendable up to three years. Pay, allowances and the other terms of deputation of the officers selected will be regulated in accordance with Department of Personnel and Training O.M. No. 6/8/2009-Estt.(Pay II) dated 17 June 2010, as amended from time to time.

Assistant Law Officer: Eligibility

Open to officers of the Central Government, a State Government, a Union Territory, a recognised research institute, an autonomous body, a statutory body or a PSU who satisfy both limbs below.

  • Holding analogous posts on a regular basis; or having at least five years of regular service in posts in Level 6 (Rs 35,400 to 1,12,400) of the Pay Matrix; and
  • Possessing a Bachelor's Degree in Law from a recognised University or Institution; and
  • Four years' experience as a legal practitioner, or four years' experience in handling legal work in a Government Department, PSU, autonomous body or statutory body.

Legal Assistant: Eligibility

Open to officers of the Central Government, a State Government, a Union Territory, a recognised research institute, an autonomous body, a statutory body or a PSU who satisfy both limbs below.

  • Holding analogous posts on a regular basis; or with three years of regular service after appointment to the post on a regular basis in Level 6 (Rs 35,400 to 1,12,400) of the Pay Matrix or equivalent; and
  • A Degree in Law from a recognised University.

Who Cannot Apply

The circular is explicit on this point, and it is the single most common reason applications to DPCC deputation advertisements are rejected at the threshold. Applications will only be considered from officers or officials holding a regular post in the Central or State Government, a Union Territory, a recognised research institute, an autonomous body, a statutory body or a PSU.

Applications from other officers or officials, that is, persons working in a private organisation, unemployed candidates, retired candidates and contractual candidates, will not be considered. Only Indian nationals need apply. The maximum age limit for deputation is 56 years as on the last date of receipt of applications, and the period of deputation, including any deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding the appointment, should ordinarily not exceed three years.

Documents to Enclose

Applications that arrive incomplete, not through proper channel, or without the papers listed below will not be considered.

  • Application in the prescribed proforma, in English or Hindi, with a recent passport size photograph affixed.
  • Bio-data duly signed by the officer concerned.
  • Attested copies of the APAR dossier for the last five years.
  • Integrity Certificate.
  • Vigilance Clearance.
  • Statement of major or minor penalties, if any, imposed during the last ten years.
  • Self-attested copies of certificates of proof of age, educational qualifications, work experience, and any claim of belonging to SC, ST, OBC or Persons with Disability. Failing these the application is treated as incomplete and summarily rejected.
  • Latest salary slip, since only the pay level and pay matrix of the post held on a regular basis is to be mentioned in the employment table.

How to Apply

There is no online application. The prescribed application form is printed at the end of the same PDF as the advertisement and can also be downloaded from the DPCC website. Fill it, attach the documents above, and send the application through proper channel so that it reaches:

The Administrative Officer, Delhi Pollution Control Committee, 3rd Floor, IT Park, DMRC Building, Shastri Park, Delhi-110053.

The name of the post applied for must be superscribed on the envelope. Where a candidate submits an advance copy of the application, they must submit a No Objection Certificate from their department for appearing in the interview, along with an undertaking that all requisite documents will be submitted before joining.

Phases, and Other Conditions

This is a rolling advertisement. Applications received up to 31 July 2026 are considered in the first phase, applications received up to 14 August 2026 in the second phase, and applications received up to 31 August 2026 in the third phase. Candidates who have already applied with complete requisite documents in response to previous DPCC advertisements need not apply afresh.

The crucial date for determining the age limit is the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates in India. Candidates who apply will not be allowed to withdraw their candidature subsequently, and no correspondence or representation will be entertained about the call for interview or about selection. The Board reserves the right not to fill up a post if it so decides. Relevant information about the recruitment is to be intimated on the DPCC website from time to time.
