[Paid] Assistant Professor of Law (Guest Faculty) Walk-in Interview at GNLU Silvassa Campus (₹1,500 per Lecture)

Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), Silvassa Campus, has issued Advertisement Reference No. GNLUS/Walk-in-Guest Faculty-01/2026 inviting eligible candidates to a Walk-in-Interview for engagement as Guest Faculty – Assistant Professor of Law. The engagement is purely on a temporary/guest basis and confers no right or claim to regular appointment, continuation or absorption in the University. The medium of instruction is English.

• Tenure: subject to the teaching requirements of the University, for such period as the University may determine

Candidates must possess the minimum qualifications prescribed under the applicable UGC Regulations as amended from time to time, together with the applicable rules, statutes and ordinances of the University. The minimum eligibility shall ordinarily be:

• A Master's Degree in Law (LL.M. or equivalent) with at least 55% marks, or an equivalent grade on a point scale where the grading system is followed, in a relevant/concerned/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University; and
• A pass in the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR, or an equivalent test accredited by the UGC such as SLET/SET, wherever applicable.
• Candidates holding a Ph.D. shall be considered for exemption from NET/SLET/SET only to the extent and subject to the conditions prescribed under the applicable UGC Regulations and amendments thereto.

OR candidates possessing a Ph.D. degree from a foreign University/Institution shall be eligible subject to the applicable UGC Regulations and other University rules, including requirements on recognition/ranking of the foreign institution wherever applicable.

The advertisement does not restrict the call to any named specialisation; it asks only for a relevant/concerned/allied subject. Eligibility is determined with reference to the UGC Regulations in force on the date of engagement, and candidates must satisfy themselves that they qualify before appearing.

• Any other document relevant to establishing eligibility

Original documents must be produced for verification at the time of the Walk-in-Interview.

Selection is made on the basis of the candidate's overall academic and research record, relevant experience and performance in the Walk-in-Interview, subject to fulfilment of the prescribed eligibility criteria. Mere appearance at the interview confers no right to selection or engagement. Canvassing or any attempt to influence the selection process results in disqualification. The selected candidate must join on the date specified by the University, failing which the University may cancel the offer of engagement.

There is no online application form. Eligible candidates simply attend the Walk-in-Interview at the GNLU Silvassa Campus on 12 August 2026, reporting by 10:30 A.M. with the documents listed above. No TA/DA is paid for attending the Walk-in-Interview or participating in the selection process.

The University reserves the right not to fill the advertised position, to increase or decrease the number of positions, to modify, withdraw or cancel the advertisement, and to reject any candidature that does not meet the prescribed eligibility requirements.
