Karan Gupta Law Chambers is a boutique disputes and litigation chamber based in Bangalore, founded with the vision of delivering high-quality legal services while upholding professional integrity and transparency with clients. The chamber's practice centres on civil and commercial litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution, and it has appeared before the Supreme Court of India and several High Courts. The internship is designed to give you a close-up view of how a litigation-focused practice runs day to day.

The role: what you will work on

This internship is built for students genuinely interested in disputes and litigation. You can expect to:

  • Carry out legal research and drafting for a range of dispute-related matters
  • Participate in meetings alongside the team
  • Take ownership of the matters assigned to you

The internship is based at the Bangalore office only. No part-time or online internship applications will be entertained.

Who can apply

To be eligible, you should meet all of the following:

  • Currently studying law at a recognised university, in either a 3-year or a 5-year law course
  • In the penultimate or final year of your degree
  • Prior internship experience in disputes or litigation (this is required, not optional)

Internship slots and duration

Each slot runs for a full calendar month. The available slots are:

  • 1 September 2026 to 30 September 2026
  • 1 October 2026 to 31 October 2026
  • 1 November 2026 to 30 November 2026

Note: all slots up to 31 August 2026 are already closed.

Stipend

The internship is paid:

  • INR 6,000 per month for students residing in Bangalore
  • INR 6,000 stipend plus INR 6,000 towards expenses for students presently residing outside Bangalore

What you need to submit

Your application must include:

  • A CV not exceeding three pages
  • A statement of interest of not more than 300 words, explaining your motivation to practise in disputes or as a litigating lawyer
  • Any one of the following: a published writing sample dated after January 2024, OR an analytical note of 800-1,200 words on a listed judgment or legal topic

Incomplete applications will not be entertained, and no response will be issued for them.

Decision timeline

You can expect a decision on your application by:

  • 5 August 2026 for the September 2026 slot
  • 5 September 2026 for the October 2026 slot
  • 5 October 2026 for the November 2026 slot

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis for each slot, so apply early for the month you are targeting.
