The India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) is inviting applications for the engagement of Research Associates at its campus in Dwarka, New Delhi. This is a full-time, on-site research role offering a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 7.2 LPA to Rs. 9.6 LPA (roughly Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 80,000 per month).

IIIDEM was established by the Election Commission of India as a global resource centre in the field of democracy and election management. It works through several schools and centres, including the School of Election Management, Voter Education and Media; the School of Electoral Laws; the School of Election Technologies; and centres for Research and Innovation, Curriculum Development, National Training, International Training, and Collaboration and Partnerships.
IIIDEM is also supporting the ECI, which has assumed the Chairship of the Council of Member States of International IDEA for 2026, themed "Democracy for an inclusive, peaceful, resilient and sustainable world."

Preference is given to candidates with research experience and published papers in Scopus/UGC-CARE List journals, policy briefs, or other academic publications. Minimum requirements may be relaxed for candidates with outstanding credentials.
Research Associates receive a consolidated, fixed remuneration of Rs. 7.2 LPA to Rs. 9.6 LPA, decided by the Selection Committee based on academic and research track record, quality of experience, and current remuneration. There is an annual increase of up to 10% based on performance evaluation.
The engagement is initially for two years, extendable by one more year subject to satisfactory performance. It is a full-time, on-site position at the IIIDEM campus in Dwarka, Delhi. The role does not include HRA, travel allowance, health insurance, pension, or any employment guarantee post-engagement.
