The Panjab University Law Review (PULR) is a bi-annual journal published since 1951 by the Department of Laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh, with circulation in India and abroad. From Volume 50 (2009) onwards it has been a refereed journal with ISSN 0971-5541. It follows a blind peer review process.
Part 1 of Volume 65 (January-June 2026) is now scheduled for publication, and the Chief Editor, Prof. Vandana A. Kumar, has invited contributions through the call dated 15 September 2026.
The call does not prescribe a theme. The journal publishes original research centred on law and also welcomes interdisciplinary work from the social sciences, such as commerce, economics, political science and sociology. A manuscript devoid of any legal approach may be rejected outright.
Legal professionals, teachers, academicians and research scholars of national and international repute. Co-authorship is permitted up to 3 authors, and not more than one submission will be accepted from an author, whether writing individually or jointly.
Word limits are inclusive of footnotes. Every manuscript must be labelled with its category.
The guidelines state no submission or publication fee. Contributors will be charged Rs 500 for the published (printed) copy of the journal, and a free copy of the e-paper will be provided. Once published, copyright over the manuscript vests with the Panjab University Law Review.
Authors should prepare their submissions by 15 October 2026 and upload them on the journal's Open Journal System at pulr.puchd.ac.in between 16 October and 31 October 2026. Register or log in on the OJS site to make a submission, uploading the manuscript along with the covering letter, plagiarism report and originality certificate. Contributors can track the status of their manuscript online. The journal's author guidelines page also gives https://lawsojs.pu.ac.in/ as the submission system; both addresses belong to Panjab University.
Queries concerning the journal and submissions may be mailed to pulr@pu.ac.in.
